On 11 – 12 May 2016 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Opole University of Technology on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the university and Faculty, the second meeting in the current term of the Committee on Machine Building PAN took place.

The program of the meeting included, among others:

1. Opening of the CMB PAN meeting:

• Prof. Janusz Kowal – Chairperson of CMB PAN,
• Prof. Marek Tukiendorf – JM Rector of the Opole University of Technology,
• Prof. Tadeusz Łagoda – Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Opole University of Technology.

2. Plenary session

• Prof. Janusz Kowal – Presentation of nominations for Members of CMB PAN,
• Prof. Janusz Kowal, Prof. Jerzy Bajkowski, Prof. Wojciech Kacalak – Program of activities of CMB PAN for the 2016 – 2020 term,
• program discussion, confirmation of main assumptions of the program,
• discussion on membership of the Presidium of CMB PAN for the 2016 – 2020 term,
• final selection of names for Sections and delegation of Committee Members to Sections ,
• discussion on the position of CMB PAN publications,
• Prof. Tadeusz Łagoda – Presentation of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Opole University of Technology.
